Designing art tile has been our family tradition for 3 generations, passed on from father to son, as detailed in this book, the Armenian ceramics of Jerusalem. Graceful gazelles (symbols of grace and beauty), timeless peacocks (symbols for long life), intricate and intertwining flower designs (modular tile designs), simple floral patterns, fish designs, birds in vine trees, and trees are all part of our repertoire of unique ceramic art tile designs, developed, kept and painted by our family in Jerusalem since 1922.

The above art tiles, including those on page one, can be used as accents in a kitchen backsplash, bathroom wall, fireplace surround. The T72 blue and white art tiles, T71 peacock tiles, and the T73 tulip and pomegranate art tiles are also modular - by adding more of the same tiles, you can create a larger mural, in multiples of 6 inches. Features of our art tile:

• Bright and vivid colors, glazed and fired to last a lifetime
• Tiles can be hung on the wall or installed permanently in a wall
• Tiles are made of ceramic, and painted, glazed and fired in our studio in Jerusalem. They are fired at 1850 ° F (1000 ° C), which means that the colors and glazes are sealed in permanently, and don't fade or wash away.
• Tiles withstand frequent cleaning using an all purpose tile cleaner
• Each hand painted art tile is 6 x 6 inches (15 x 15 cm), and about a quarter of an inch thick standard wall tile
• Price per tile = $22

The tile dimensions are approximately 6x6 inches (15x15 cm). They are available framed with wood or unframed. A single framed tile costs US $38 and comes with a hanger (see back of framed tile). A single unframed tile costs US $22 and comes with cork backing and a hanger (see back of tile).
