The story of Jacob's dream - Isaac sent his son Jacob to take a wife from one of the daughters of Laban, Rebecca's brother. On the way, Jacob stayed the night in a place, where he used the stones as pillows to lay his head on. And there he dreamt and saw a ladder rising from earth and reaching heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And God stood above it and said, "I am the Lord, God of Abraham and Isaac. The land on which you lie, I will give to you and your children, and I will bless you." And Jacob awakened and said, "Surely God is in this place." He was afraid. He rose up early in the morning, mad a pillar from the stones, and called the place Beth-el. And then he went on his way to take a wife, from the daughters of Laban.
