My family arrived in Jerusalem in 1919, and established Armenian pottery in this city. Since then, my grandfather and father have contributed greatly to the ceramic art of the city, each adding designs to our family repertory. Some of the designs were inspired by local church and synagogue ancient mosaic floors, others were inspired by the Bible or Torah. Some, like the Psalm 23 in Hebrew, and Aaron's blessing, started as commissions by clients, and we continued making them because they became popular.
Another popular tile is Yeshua, the name of Jesus in Aramaic.
