The cobalt blue peacocks and birds ceramic tile, is a repeating tile pattern. By putting 4 tiles, 6 tiles, 8 tiles, or any number of tiles together, you can cover an entire wall, or just a small section of a wall or backsplash, and get a beautiful tile mural with deep, beautiful, attractive cobalt blues. The cobalt blue color, has been a staple ingredient in ceramic art through the ages. We mix our own cobalt blue color to get the deep attractive background you see on the above peacock tile. How many tiles you need depends on the measurments of the wall section you would like to tile. For example, if you need to tile a wall or backsplash which is 24 by 18 inches in size, you would need 12 six inch tiles. Alternately, you could use the tile layout shown below which is also 24 x 18 inches, using cobalt blue border tiles and corner tiles. The tile(s) are ready for installing permanently in a wall, backsplash, bathroom wall, table top etc. They are painted, glazed and finaly fired at 1850 F (1000 C), which means that the colors are permanently sealed in under the glaze and do not fade or wash away ever. Also, the tiles withstand frequent cleaning using an all purpose kitchen or tile cleaner. Dimensions: Each tile is 6 x 6 inches. Thickness of tiles: about a quarter of an inch, standard wall tiles. |
